New Member ttc from Nigeria
Hello Everyone
I am new here and I have had a great time reading up on all the information about swaying. It's all very overwhelming but also interesting. I have one DS and 2 DDs and I would love to have another DS. My first is always bugging me to give him a brother.
It's been a bit challenging for me to fully incorporate the HE diet because Nigerian foods are mostly carbohydrate based. Proteins like red meat, eggs, milk, yoghurt are available but quite expensive. But I am willing to try my best.
I am 31y with regular periods. I plan to try ttc in January 2021. I have started taking Centrum women, fish oil (500mg) and probiotics daily. Do I need to take extra vit D? I spend at least 30 minutes every under the sun. Do I need to take coq 10?
I have also started blogilates exercise workouts daily. Exercising with weights won't be possible for me.
I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks everyone.

A carb-based mostly vegetarian diet can still work for blue!! Just err on the side of eating more animal protein and fat than you WERE (and if you can get the palm fruit oil, or coconut oil, both these are very blue friendly even tho they are vegetable based). Legumes, grains, nuts are all good sources of protein, as are eggs, chicken, and fish. Let's go ahead and increase the amount of fish you eat to 3-4x a week if that is helpful to you. I would only have the heavy-mercury fish like tuna once a week, though.
The Centrum Women's should have enough Vitamin D in it. No need to take more.
I would take coq10 if you can find it. If it's hard to find or very expensive, you can skip it. It is among the least important for a blue sway.
Blogilates is GREAT! Just using your own body weight for exercise works very well.
Let me know how else I can help!!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hello atomic,
Thanks for your reply. I can definitely increase my fish intake to 3-4x a week. Here in Nigeria we have lots of mackerel, herring, catfish, croaker, tilapia and Cod fish. Is there any particular one I should eat more of?
One thing that worries me a lot is that, after the birth of my 2nd DD, DH and I had decided that when we are ready to ttc, I would go for an ultrasound to detect ovulation because then we believed in timing.
But after reading a lot on this site, and learning that timing doesn't work, I am worried that we may not be able to get in 3 to 5 attempts during my fertile period.
I am willing to use OPKs but DH doesn't want to believe in swaying. I have tried to convince him that timing doesn't work but he refuses to budge. I get a headache just thinking about it.
My question is, how can I incorporate the ultrasound into my sway?
Thanks for your time and your help.

Great!!! I would normally have people keep to two servings a week but I know you guys are able to get fish that is fresh and less contaminated with mercury in Nigeria than in some areas.
Oily fish is best but just be cautious to avoid anything like tuna that is known to have a higher amount of mercury in it.
Usually the ultrasound will tell you about a day in advance of ovulation. Just have an attempt that night, then two attempts the next day - morning and night (this will be O Day), then the following day if you can. This is still in keeping with Shettles timing but allows you to get in with the three attempts!!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks atomic, I will definitely do that.
I was looking for probiotics and I came across this. Will this probiotic be good for my blue sway?

Yes those would be great! You would not need a separate fish oil in that case.

Hello atomic,
I tried to order the 'Restora' probiotic but unfortunately it is out of stock for now. And I couldn't find any other 500mg fish oil. Could you please take a look at the ones I found.
Are the supplements ok? I was thinking of taking just one capsule of fish oil every other day. Will that be ok?
Thanks a lot for your time and help.

Yes those are fine, just take the fish oil every other day but if you notice bleeding or bruising cut back.
