Encouriging
Here's what I've found How frequently does Down Syndrome occur? | Ask Dr. Sears®
According to this we still have 99% of having a healthy baby (boy lol!), sounds so much better then 1:50 ( or even 45)
Btw does anyone know how to calculate percentage from 1:50 or 1:any given number? I have no ideam/c 2001

Awesome ZB...to be honest the whole chromosomal defect thing shoots through my head about once an hour.
You just divide the first number by the second number...so for 1:50 you do 1 divided by 50 = 0.02 or 2%. And 1:100 gives you 1%.Sept 2008 & successful boy sway June 2010.

There is some research that indicates a higher dose of folic acid (between 2000-4000 mcg) may help to prevent Down's Syndrome.
