Did not conceive and I'm on my second cycle now Od this time on CD13. But both cycles af did come at a regular time. You can't tell the side you ovulate on on the basis of O pains. You develop eggs in both sides every month and it's actually quite common to feel worse on the side that DOESN"T ovulate. So you have no way of knowing what side you Oed from and we've had tons of people on here who swore it was one side only to find out it was the other.

The study found that only in a 3 month pattern, L, L, R was boys 75% of the time. All the other patterns had various other results associated with them. And there are PLENTY of exceptions even with that pattern (including many people here on this site). So since you cannot know what side you're Oing from anyway I would just try to put it out of your head.

This happened with my last pregnancy! I could have sworn I ovulated from the right as I had quite intense pain but my ultrasound confirmed I had ovulated from the left ovary and I conceived a boy so definitely don't worry too much about this xxx

Thanks Kitten!! Yes I know several people who swore to me "no I KNOW I oed from this side" and then at their ultrasounds they were shocked to find that they didn't.

A gross analogy but if you imagine one of those great big sore pimples we all get from time to time, they hurt horribly until they pop and then they vanish without a trace. But the ones that don't pop just keep going and going and take several days to work themselves out. Ovaries are much the same - the ovulation actually can release pressure that having 10-15 developing eggs being reabsorbed (in our ovary that doesn't ovulate) just has to continue on with until those eggs shrink away to nothing.

Thank you for the reassurance, kitten! With so many things to keep track of, it is nice to know this is not another (especially with it being one that I cannot control!). And Ash, I wish you the very best! Sending you ALL of my pink dust!!
