Wink Faint positive 4, 6 and 7 days after missed period- Boy or girl?

    Hi all

I'm new to this site and am pregnant with baby number 3 who is a surprise baby! I have two girls already so was kinda hoping this LO will be a boy!

However when my period was late I left it for 4 days without testing, when I did there was a definite line but it was not as dark as the control line. I then tested two days after and then 7 days after my missed period. Again the line is totally there but faint (in comparison to the control line) I'm sure that with both girls the test line was as strong as the control line on my first test!

Just wondered if anyone had noticed a correlation between faint/strong positives and baby's gender?

Loving this site by the way- looking forward to getting to know others. Kinda wished I got the whole 'sway' thing however before getting pg!!!

I have attached a picture of the three days in date order (hope it's worked)!

Nope I'm afraid you can't tell a baby's gender on the basis of darkness of pregnancy tests! But huge congrats though

Hi thanks for replying! No I know you can't tell but some people do post that hcg levels were lower in early pregnancy with boys than girls - I know this is not true for everyone but thought I'd ask and get people's experiences 😀

    Thanks again for your reply

I get that but the thing is that it's only an average, like height. If you have someone who is 5 ft 8 you CANNOT tell their height, even a person who is 5-5 or 6 ft you cannot tell from.

And you beyond 110% cannot tell what your HCG levels are from the darkness of your pregnancy tests.

It doens't work and only causes false hope and false despair for people. I have seen people devastated by this "method" and I just have to warn people off of it.
