Products safe during pregnancy?
Hey ladies! Thought I would check here to see if any if you have heard of these products and know if they are safe. I've only seen my doc twice and keep forgetting to ask and can't call right now.
First is Activia. It is a yogurt that is supposed to regulate your digestive system. This pregnancy has really slowed things down (sorry) and I almost have to eat it everyday to keep from getting backed up.
Second is Finipil. It is an antiseptic cream used after shaving or waxing to prevent infection, rash, ingrowns etc.
Finally Melatonin. It's supposed to be a natural thing to help you sleep and I have had some insomnia but wondering if it is safe.? I have the 3 mg.
Thanks for any help or feedback!!

Activia is fine as long as it is full fat. No light yogurt when pregnant, the fake sugars are bad for baby! I don't know anything of the other two products.

Activia is fine. I'd ask your doc about the other 2.

Thanks ladies! I'll have to look at the fat...I didn't know that. Usually I avoid low/non fat everything but this stuff I probably just grabbed a certain flavor. I get the Greek Activia.

Tylenol pm is just acetaminophen and diphenhydramine (Benadryl) so instead of taking the tylenol pm just get generic diphenhydramine.

NO MELATONIN WHEN PREGNANT!!! Has been linked to developmental dealys in babies!!!!!!
Activia is fine.
Finipil, the active ingredient is supposed to not be absorbed thru the skin and should be ok for pregnancy HOWEVER if you are using it for bikini area, that is NOT safe to have bikini wax in pregnancy due to risk of infection and so you should avoid bikini waxes.!!! The amount of aspartame the FDA has approved for use during pg is much more than the amount in an Activia, I think it's probably fine to use "light" products now and then when pg. I wouldn't have a TON of it.
Tehre are fat free yogurts that are naturally sweetened too.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
