Does cramping coincide with the side that baby implanted on?

So I know Ramzi isn't accurate but I'm still overanalyzing everything anyways I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and I've had some random cramping on and off, mostly on the right side. Do you think that means that's the side that the baby implanted on?

When my son "implanted" I had the worst cramping on the left side - so much so they thought it was my appendix and I had to go to hospital where they told me I was preg and only 4 weeks - there was no sac or anything, he was almost ectopic but eventually came down!!!! So possibly? Not sure if it's gender specific?!

No. You can't feel implantation as the baby is way too small. The cramping may be from the ovary you ovulated from or it could even be you didn't O on that side so a cyst developed, causing cramps. It could very well be the corpus luteum though causing the discomfort.Cramping is totally normal during pregnancy and is usually from the uterus growing/stretching.

no. If your uterus could tell where a baby implanted pregnancy would be so painful it would not be able to be borne.

When you get pregnant your body releases a hormone called relaxin that causes all this stretching and that coupled with the increased blood flow makes you get cramps. The location of the cramping has to do with where your pain receptors are and whatever part happens to be sorest and stretchiest at that time.

Corpus luteum! That's what mine was - thanks for the reminder!

Thanks ladies! I had some weird pains on the left side today anyways so it’s no longer specific to one side anyways.

A corpus luteum is the hole that the egg comes out of that makes progesterone to sustain the developing pregnancy. it's not unusual in any way - every pregnancy has this - or associated with ectopic pregancny. Just don't want there to be any confusion.

See that's how my pregnancies were too. I'd have very intense pains on one side and then in a few days it would be in a totally different spot or all over up down and all around.
