also, i meant to ask, how much and when should i start taking baby aspirin? I saw that people who are prone to miscarriages are sometimes put on it, but is there any risk to baby's health by taking it?
Thank you again xx

To the best of my knowledge, as long as you wean off gradually once you get a BFP and do not continue taking the aspirin later into pregnancy, taking baby aspirin is fine and safe. People who go HT and those with blood clotting issues liek MTHFR need to take it longer at possibly higher doses, and consult with their doctor about when and how to wean off.
Start off taking 2 a week and build up gradually to no more than 5 a week - if you develop bleeding or bruising at any point, stop and drop back a pill becasue that's all your body can handle. Don't take it every day, don't start by taking it 5 days a week, start small and work up. Then once you get a BFP. gradually do the reverse and slowly wean yourself off the aspirin over 2-3 weeks until you're not taking it any more.
why can't you take baby aspirin everyday? just curious.
You can, technically speaking, and some people do under the advice of a doctor, but most people, especially young women under 50, will develop bleeding/bruising if they take it every day. Aspirin aren't Tic Tacs, daily aspirin regimin may prevent heart disease and some cancers but at the same time ups your risks of bleeding in your stomach and brain that can kill you, and again, this is more likely to happen to young women. Plus, it makes it harder and more time consuming to wean off of it after a BFP. Anyone who is taking it every day, you may want to give it more like 3-4 weeks to wean off.
Thought I would chime in...my doc had me on baby aspirin and progesterone with DS3...had me go off BA cold turkey at 12 weeks..HTH
really stupid question, but i thought aspirin was to dry up cm? I take it that's what zyrtec does, and now have no idea what the aspirin does - is it to sway girl?
unfortunately doctors have not gotten the message about stopping aspirin cold turkey (and probably didn't know when you were pg with DS 3 because this is newer research) but it's been linked to a higher risk of heart attack and stroke when stopped suddenly and logic would dictate it would not be super good for the placenta either. Your baby gets his/her oxygen and nutrients thru the placenta and cord and you just need to err on the side of caution because a blood clot in either is not the ideal.

I had to take BA because I was clotting so badly. I had several m/c due to the clotting and that was his last resort before referring me to an RE....it worked though. Glad nothing adverse happened.
