Fake Tan!?!!

I am off to a Hen do tonight and didnt really think about it but last night started applying my St Tropez tan liberally (and consequently now sat here looking like a Satsuma...). But I suddenly thought this morning do things that you apply to your skin matter? I am not aware that fake tan soaks right into the skin/your body, its almost like a layer on your skin, so dont *think* it would make a difference to my sway. I am attempting in 2 weeks...
