Ph is always 6.8 to 7 throughout my entire cycle. Why?

I have just started researching about swaying pink and of course the first bit of information I came across was about a women's ph so I ordered the hannah ph tester. I have tested everyday and it's always in the same range. Is there something wrong with me? I am not trying to conceive until December so I hope the diet and supps will help lower it but i know why I have two boys. Don't get me wrong I would nt want it any other way but I do so badly want a little girl. That's why I am here so I can get my dream gender! I can do the diet, I always watch my calOries and I eat the same thing everyday so I just have to eat the same thing everyday but off of the low everything diet instead. I actually can't wait to get started. I just need some advice into why my ph is so high?

I'm sure your ph is directly related to your diet, so if I were you I'd start the diet and see if it changes. I first tried the IG diet and my ph stayed at a 6.5. I cut out my calcium and magnesium supp. and my ph dropped instantly to a 4.5 (24 hours after starting the diet). My ph b-4 the le diet was different throughout the day. I noticed it was at an 8 in the morning and closer to a 6 in the evening. Now it is a 5 in the morning and a 4.5 in the evening.

Oh gosh I'm sorry, I read this post but then I must have gotten interrupted. Never be shy about giving a post a bump if I don't answer - I will answer every post that needs a response so if you don't get one, I missed it.

The first thing I would do is make 110% sure your Hanna is working ok and is properly calibrated.

The second thing I would do a)see a doctor to rule out infection and if the test comes back clean, b) start a good probiotic, and try to insert a little plain yogurt (the kind with active cultures in it) a few times starting after AF and stopping a few days before ovulation. High pH can be a symptom of a yeast infection or BV that doctors can't always diagnose. You may just have some critters living in there that aren't supposed to be there, and some of them make your pH go up (your body is literally trying to wash them away.)

Thirdly, are you using anything to lower pH or is this just your natural pH? Sometimes people have pH spikes in response to vinegar douche, jellies, spermicides. You may also be using a soap or laundry detergent that your body is sensitive to and it's making extra CM as a response to irritation, which keeps pH high.

Frequent intercourse can also keep your pH high due to the high pH of semen.

Just to put your mind at ease, we've had so many pH opposites I'm very far from convinced that pH is in any way make or break any more. I conceived a boy with a pH of 4.5 that never varied and we've had TTC blue opposites in people whose pH was very high (much more so than 7!)

Cal-mag has def. made people's pH go up.

My pH dropped from 6's to 4.5 by doing nothing other than losing weight. I still conceived a boy at that pH though!!

I never even bothered to check my pH before I conceived DD. I have seen so many pH opposites that I don't think it's worth the stress any more.

No biggie, I just figured no one had an answer for me. Oh and can I say ewww, bugs in my vagina!!! It made me jump a bit but I hope this is not the case. My only feeling is that after I stopped breastfeeding my first son I got my first yeast infection and maybe I have one again now with my second son. I stopped over two months ago but everyone once In a while it burns down there and it burns when I pee. I thought it was odd but I assumed it was due to having sex or I was imagining it. I also thought it was strange that it seemed to go away but than come back. Either way I do t think a treatment of Monistat will kill me so I'm going today to get some.

This is my natural ph so that's why I was worried. I wanted to get an idea of my ph before I started dieting and taking supplements but little did I know that there could be something wrong. Is there anything I can take to prevent yeast infections besides eating yogurt? I already eat yogurt everyday but I don't think it's helping. Well thanks for your input once again, you are always sooo helpful.

Oh and while I have you can I ask one more question? I just got my first post partial period 24 days ago (haven't ovulated yet and no signs that i will) and I was wondering is it normal to be having such a long second cycle? I think it is but I just get worried. I assumed that it would take a cycle Or too to normalize so that's why I knew it was best to wait to ttc for pink after my cycles were back. Oh and my son is 17 months old so I think my cycle should return more quickly than if he was 4 months old.

RE your cycles, yes, it's normal for a second postpartum cycle to be unusually long.
