PGD day 3 or day 5?

Hi Dr. Potter,

I may come out to California next year to do IVF/PGD with you. I was just curious if you recommend day 3 or day 5 embryo testing for PGD and also with those, if you recommend FISH or GSN! Thanks so much!!

I recommend GSN Natera. We do both day 3 and day 5. Day 3 is preferred at this point

thanks..then do you prefer fresh transfers if they are tested on day 3?

yes, day three biopsies are always fresh transfer and at this point day 5 biopsies are usually fresh as well but use aCGH
