Mums of girls and chili eaters

This is just based in curiousity only, if you have been a chili / spicy food addict do you have more boys or girls? DH family is a huge chili eater, they have to have either chili based meal or meals with anything chili in it - guess what... 3 boys in a row and in his extended family who are also chili eaters for generations they have all grandsons and 1 grand daughter... Now that many of the grand sons are married and many of their wives are not keen chili eaters, they have more girls than boys ... My DS is one of two boys out of four other girl cousins. I was fond of chili and salty based sauces back then prior to conceiving DS .. But hey I don't regret now, he's all my pride, but if I'd love a little girl I guess I have to Becareful with chili huh?

I hope not - I love jalapeños and chilli :(

I HATE hot food - I can not bare anything with a bit of spice to it and I have 3 boys so I dont think that theory works.

If this was true, countries with very spicy cuisine or very bland cuisine, would have a skewed gender ratio, but it's very close to 50-50 around the world regardless.

There are no magic foods or spices that sway gender. It's the overall nutrient content of your diet that counts and not any one food/spice.

My experience - with my first 2 boys I never ate anything spicy, with my 2nd two boys and my girl I did eat spicy things on occasion.
