A Question for all UK clomid swayers

I have PCOS and came off my pill end of April and had Af last week of april/1st week of may, and had nothing since, so as its been nearly 6 months went to the doctors to see about getting clomid ( have been taking vitex 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and no luck there) and hes told me i have to have been trying for 2yrs before they'd consider clomid or any other fertlity drugs?!?!?!!? WHAT????!!! they also know how long it took to concieve DS3 which was 16months and 2 AFs in that time so was hoping to hear better news than that! So... was wondering if any 1 else who's been prescribed clomid on the NHS had to wait that long or if there was another way around it?
