I am really missing my nuts and vegetables. Is it okay to eat almonds, walnuts, spinach, brocolli,etc?
Do not eat nuts! No way, no how. They have protein, good fat, and phytonutrients.
Spinach and broccoli are ok in moderation but they are pretty dang nutritious and should be kept at a minimum. I think iceberg lettuce is safest for salads and if you are dying for a broccoli-type dish, I would do cauliflower instead. Cauliflower is very healthy but at least it's white and has less phytonutrients than broccoli.
