Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor? Anyone used this?

I'm thinking about purchasing the Clearblue Easy fertility monitor, but wanted to see if anyone has used this?

Does it rely on previous cycles to predict OV or can I use it from my first TTC cycle? It will also be my first month off birth control.

I just want to get the earliest prediction of OV possible since DH travels BUT he could rearrange his schedule if we know my fertile days a few days in advance. The description says it can predict up to 5 days in advance of peak fertility, but I wasn't sure if that was once it had tracked your cycle for a few months or if it relied solely on your hormones on any given day.

I think you do have to use it a month in advance, someone correct me if I'm wrong??

If my DH was away a lot, I do think it could be beneficial (because you can DTD any day of high fertility and still be in with a chance) but otherwise I'm not sure they're worth the expense.

I got pg the first month I used it -- yes, it tracks your cycles, but from what I understand it also measures hormones differently than regular OPKs. It told me I o'd earlier that month than I normally did (or THOUGHT I normally did), which was lucky because we only had a chance to DTD early in my cycle that month. :)
