I am just woundering about Saw palmetto how long before ttc a girl should i be taking this and should i just take one tablet a day? Also Licorice Root is that ok for my husband to take if he has high blood pressure? If not is there anything else we could try to lower him.
NO, your husband should def. avoid licorice root with high blood pressure.
I would take the saw palmetto for 6 weeks (take only AF-O unless you are VERY VERY VERY sure that you will not get pregnant). Saw Palmetto is not safe during pregnancy.
Your husband actually could take saw palmetto to lower his testosterone (saw palmetto has mixed records in terms of blood pressure, it's not PROVEN to raise blood pressure like licorice does and some info indicates it may lower blood pressure). The downside is that it may also lower estrogen (higher estrogen in men sways pink).
Otherwise, I would stick to other methods like lowering sperm count to sway pink.
