I've had this horrible tickly cough for over a week now. Don't want to take cough meds in case they swat blue, but everyone keeps telling me to take honey and lemon in water, but I have a feeling honey sways blue right? Is it ok in small amounts?? What about those hard cough sweets, are they ok?

The prob. with sweets of any type, be they honey or cough drops is that when you ingest sweets of any variety all day long, it keeps your blood sugar elevated all the time which is not good for your sway. It's best to eat nothing but unsweetened/artificially sweetened stuff between meals.
My advice would be to try sugarfree gum during the day and then if the issue is falling asleep at night, use one cough drop at that point to help you get to sleep.
