No I did with girls. It's pretty common and usually moves up as your uterus grows.
ok thanks nuthinbutpink...it's a relief to hear that amongst all the boy stories I have been hearing!
This little lady started out VERY low and took until about 27 weeks to move up! :)
There's still hope!
Thanks Butterfly....nice to keep the dream alive....for now! :)
My cousins was basically over the cervix for a good while she had a lot of bleeding and she had a happy health baby girl
I had it with one of my sons (my second i think) was nothing to worry about, its only really an issue if its still low at birth and most move themselves way before then.
I have also had one growing on the front of me (can't remember whether its anterior or posterior sorry) and that was fine to despite worries in case i need a section, again it moved as the baby grew, although it did stop me feeling him kicking for a long time.
As for gender, i think its just coincidence although wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy to tell?
Mine was low with DD and with DS its not as low
I had low lying placenta with both of my daughters, and one was partial previa early in pg. Both times it moved up and away from the cervix long before it was time to give birth. With my other pregnancies, when they've lasted long enough to see on u/s, the placentas have all been in different places. My last (also a girl) was high and posterior.
It's had nothing to do with gender, in my case.
No, i am not had low lying placenta early in pregnancy and had a girl Everyone I seem to mention it to the girls pregnancy.
i seems to mentioned it to the another girl. so i think lying placenta had girl everyone i seems mentioned in the girls.
