Please help - Is it acidifying???

I have got throat infection and the doctor has prescribed antibiotic Primcillin 800 mg 3 times a day for 10 days. I just read on internet that it can develop acidosis in the body if overdosed. My attempt is next week. I am confused. It has a chemical Phenoxymethylpenicillinkalium(danish name .. kalium is potassium in danish). Due to potassium in its name it seems to be good for ttc boy but its a very big dose and has to go for 10 days. I dont want to spoil my sway if its acidifying. Please help !!!!

This is the link explaining about the medicine. In the list of excipents - it has magnesium stearate also .. but it has potassium as well. please tell me if its fine to take or shall i take amoxycillin (its alternative mentioned on internet). Please suggest..

Interesting..... the acidosis part may depend on your diet. Most of the reactions listed for meds is from a large number of people, Dr's do not ask the person about their over all diet!!!

Eating a high or higher alkaline diet will help but most antibiotics sway boy so you may not have a problem.

but its a very heavy dose 800 mg 3 times for 10 days. My friend was also prescribed this and she said she was feeling totally burnt from inside after having such a heavy dose. can Atomic chime in please...

"amoxycillin" may be better, the other ingender has a bunch of post on it about swaying for a boy.

I'm sorry I just saw this. All antibiotics sway blue because they are alkalinizing and increase CM.

Those amounts of magnesium and potassium are small and to preserve the medication. They don't affect your sway, don't worry about them.
