Does anyone want to write up their helpful hints for using these things so we could compile them all in one thread?? I never have used them so I feel unqualified, but it would be great if we had them all in one thread - we could post links to the threads that have already been started and it would be like one-stop shopping for new swayers!!
GREAT IDEA! I still feel very lost w/my Hanna. Some really common things to cover could include:
- when/how often to calibrate
- re-usage of calibrating solution (if okay)
- how to store tester/calibration solution
- how to use in general (lol!)
My tester came w/very vague, meager instructions which immediately left me scratching my head. I’m sure there are other things to cover but this could get us started…
I calibrate mine once a week. I pour a little of the storage solution in the cap of the solution bottle then discard it when done. I have found I get the most accurate readings by using a diva cup to collect CM then dipping the tip of the Hanna to get a reading. You can rinse the tip of the Hanna then pour a little storage solution in the hanna cap and store. I can be more detailed if anyone wants!
Yes, I wants!!! Be as detailed as you feel like being and then we'll turn it into an essay. Anyone else with tips on how to use these things??? PLEASE!!!
