Questions and wanted to say HI (new member)
Hello,
I'm a new member. I have recently began this strong strong desire to conceive a girl. I have two sons of my own a 9 year old and a 3 year old (almost 4). I have always wanted a girl. With my first I was a teen parent and wanted a boy only because I had nephews and new how to take care of them. I was scared shitless. Here I am 9 years later wanting a little girl. With my second son I wanted a girl so bad but kind of new I would have a boy, I cried when I found out but got over it fast. Either way that was my baby.
Since I've started wanting my girl it's ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT. Sometimes it makes me sick just thinking about it. Every time I bring up the fact I want a baby girl they tell me I will end up with only boys. It truly makes me depressed hearing this.
I heard of gender swaying and started doing research. I also trolled the in-gender forums and have done my own research based on those posts. I seeing so many success stories gave me hope. I also feel though that it's ultimately up to GOD what ever I end up with.
I won't be able to start trying to conceive until September or October of 2013 which is so far away! :(
I just graduated college, so I want to find a job and start woking on a bigger house before I at least start trying.
I'm so nervous though. I'm back and forth, up and down. Somedays I know for sure I want to try but then I think about having 4 boys and it terrifies me. I know I will love my children no matter the gender. It's just the longing for a baby girl. My boys also talk about wanting a sister.
My questions for you all is:
I heard of the chances that there being a string of boys the more you have, even though it is small. I feel though many of the things about this do not apply to me because my husband and I have only one son together. I had a son from a previous relationship and he also had a son from a previous relationship. Then we had our son together.
Does this give me a higher chance of having a girl?
Also my husband had testicular cancer when he was 18. He only has one testicle and had chemotherapy. We had no problem having our first child but it was by accident. Will this affect the gender sways methods we use?
