Suggestions for a GIRL sway please!

Hi I am new to swaying tho i have done a fair amount of research. My husband and i have 1 Son and would like to TTC a girl in Aug this year. When we concieved our son we did the deed like everyday from AF to after O. I am just trying to work out a plan for myself as i know he wont be able to Abstain for 7 or more days!!!!! So i was thinking of having frequent release of himself everyday and then have us try 2 days before O. I am just worried as like i said with our son we did it everyday but we did it right thru O. Sorry if i sound confusing but its so hard trying to work out what to do! Maybe the day that we " Try " i could have him release in the morning but then actually try in the evening? Any suggestions much appreciated!

Hi, I think timing is the least important factor, have you looked into diet, supplements etc?

Hi, Yes I am taking cranberry, Calcium , Magnesium sup. I will go on the diet 2 months before, we are wanting to ttc in aug so i will start the diet june. Also I will be using Acigel and Sylk and will try taking sudafed. I have been using the PhIon strips to test my ph which is about 4 to 4.5 but i am not too sure how accurate they are.

Yes, I think frequent release either with a cutoff or O+12 is just as good as abstaining and may help avoid marital discord LOL!!

I would have him release every day for 7-10 days and then DTD with a 2-3 day cutoff. You can have him release twice if you like and use the second batch BUT if you do that, I would go light on any jellies and prob. not do a jump and dump. You will really cut down on your odds of pg if you do too much.

What you have said makes me feel better because that was the idea i had and now that you have said that i am happy to go ahead and see what the outcome is. either way i will be happy a little brother would be great for our son anyway! Just another thing..... Could i do the cut off and then still have him release everyday and then do a O+12?

Yes, that is what I was trying to say in the above post - abstain, then cutoff, then have him release 2x a day and then do O+12.

I know we have already gone over this but i am really wanting to try and work out my best option. With our ds we tried pretty much everyday for the month and fell preg so i am not sure actually when it was but by the due date am guessing was on o day. as we went right through o. As i can not rely on my husband to abstain i will be getting him to release everyday for 10 days and then was going to try for a 3 day cut off. I was also going to try to do a o+12 and will have him release twice a day untill my o+12..... Well i have been reading alot and have read that more sucess has come from o+12 more so then a cut off so what should i do especially now that my o date is a bit unreliable as i just had a chemical preg . It may be hard for me to do a cut off as i am not 100 percent when i will o and i dont want to be 4 or 5 days out. Should i maybe just go for a o+12 this try and see how we go??? So confused as what to do!! please help me......

Well, the due date is calculated based on your O day and so is meaningless for determining how many DBO a baby was conceived.

I personally believe that O+12 makes it very difficult for people to get pg at all and all the stress involved in it raises testosterone levels. There is another site that are big O+12 supporters but in my experience, O+12 is next to impossible for most people to figure out and it ends up causing people to go for many months on the TTC Pink diet, not conceiving, then far too many people have an oops and end up DTD too soon and hitting O anyway (because that's the only way they ever end up getting pg at all.)

Personally, I would just have hubby either abstain or release every day for 10 days, and then DTD once when I got a pos OPK and forget the rest of the timing business.

ok well i do think frequent release and a cut off is best for me then... also hubby is going away for a week 3 to 4 days before i am due to ovulate would it be ok to try that morning he leave? is it possible to get preg 4 days before o ...? would that sway boy or girl more so??
