A few questions... really need some clarity! :-)

I think I have a plan put together but a few things confuse me and wondering if you lovely ladies can please help me clarify things. I would honestly hand on heart appericate it!

1) If you use RepHresh... when do you use it??? (before or after the deed?)
2) does using lube kill ALL sperm??? I read old posts and I think Atomic said KY is good for killing some sperm... so my question is would this HINDER getting pregnant and kill all sperm or just a %??? If so any lube suggestions???
3) I have ALOT of EWCM when I ovulate... I really do not want to douche so thinking of taking sudafed... any suggestions on which is best as so many different types... Im from the UK... can you take these breastfeeding and when do you need to take them so that they take affect and dry you up :think:
4) I am going to DTD at least every day if not twice from the last day of AF until after ovulation... I dont think im good enough to judge o+12 so this is the next best way to reduce male sperm...
5) im going to buy cranberry and calcium vitamens... what ration do I take them?
6) im going to do a CRASH diet... seeing I plan to DTD in 5 weeks... I dont have time on my side... thinking of skipping breakfast, then cracker bread and muller light yoghurt for dinner but struggling for easy evening meal ideas...
7) Ive got PH strips that say test on salvia and urine... but ive read you need to test your CM... is this right and if so do the strips work that ive got to do this?

Sorry for all the questions but my diet starts tomorrow and im going to really give this a good go!!! im new to all this so please overlook any of my ignorances! :nails:

1. Before. 8, 12, OR 24 hours before your attempt are what is recommended. There is no need to do it after. You also want to do it every 3 days from the end of AF until you do it before your attempt (so CD7, CD10, and CD13 with attempt on CD 14, for example). 2. Lube does hinder getting pregnant to an extent, but it will not kill ALL sperm. Sylk is a good one for pink, but do use it sparingly - just as much as you need. (The lure of Lubes!!)

3. Certirizine (Zyrtec) is recommended daily either starting 5 days before attempt or whenever you start to see EWCM, whichever comes first, up until the day before O. If you are still seeing a lot of EWCM the day of your attempt, you can take diphenhydramine (Benadryl) 1-2 hours before you DTD. You stop taking the antihistimines as soon as you've had your attempt. 4. Is your DH willing to release every day from AF-attempt instead of DTD every day? DTD daily will increase your ph and testosterone as well as the number of sperm that could make it to egg during your fertile window. DTD with a condom all but one time will help with the sperm, but not the other two issues. The best results for swaying pink are being seen with just one attempt at positive OPK. 5. Can't help you with these. I decided to take low-dose aspirin instead of cranberry as it seems to be safer. 6. You need to be getting 1500-1800 calories a day, and make sure to get enough potassium and sodium. If you do a crash diet and don't get pg the first cycle, your body is very likely to stop ovulating at some point if it doesn't have enough nutrients. Also, you are very likely to just stop doing the diet at all the longer you are TTC if you do continue to ovulate. The LE diet is not a crash diet - it's much easier to stick to and has enough of everything your body needs to still conceive while losing weight and lowering nutrients. 7. Your strips aren't likely to say anything about CM on the container since it is a very uncommon use. They are probably fine (I don't have a lot of experience with testing ph so I don't know if some are better than others). If you are 5 weeks out from attempt, have you ovulated in this cycle yet? It is really frustrating that there are so many different ideas, and that some of them are so conflicting. I personally can understand the reasoning behind the things on this site more than what I've read elsewhere, so that makes me a little more confident. The truth is that we are still in the very early stages of understanding exactly how this whole thing works, so we can't be certain about much.

I don't know a ton about O+12. From what I know about charting (I'm on my 54th cycle charting, so I've got a bit of experience), I just don't think it's possible to reliably pinpoint O that closely. Add the fact that we are trying to dry up our cervical mucus and taking supps that move O all over and I do think it is a good way to make the TTC process take longer whether or not it sways pink.
