Help with when I ovulated

OK so I have been BBT and it sucks. Makes no sense! So this month I started charting with CB Smileys. I got my first smiley on 5/4 (CD 14) at 10:30 am (I had been feeling crampy on my left side for a few days) then at midnight I had a TON of EWCM. My cervix was high soft and I could feel that the opening felt like a slit instead of a tiny hole. Then yesterday 5/5 (CD 15) I took another test around 11 am and I still had a smiley. I had HORRIBLE pains on and off but a constant ache. Then again around midnight I took another test and it was negative. So pretty much what I am asking is do you ovulate after you get the neg or during the smiley. Based of what information I gave can any of you help me figure out when I ovulated. My BBT chart doesn't help me any because it thinks I ovulated on CD 13 which doesn't make sense. My cervix wasn't soft enough didn't have the right kind of CM and I had Neg OPK. Also if you were me (I am really regular so this should be how I am every month) when would you BD based off of this info?

With your temperatures I would wait another couple of days before deciding when you O'd. Usually the rule is 3 high temps confirms O.

The smiley face is letting you know when you are having your homone surge (LH hormone) You usually ovulate anywhere between 12-36 hours after your first smiley.

Based on the timing of it I would say you O'd around cd15 or cd16, but like I said, you will need to wait a few days for your temps to confirm it. Getting a smiley face does not mean you definitely O'd, only the temperature rise does.

Also on fertility friend if you go onto the part where you entre your temp etc for the day and select the tab "TESTS" then under 'opk' change it to '+' on the days you get your smiley faces, your chart will be more accurate hun. You definitely didn't O on cd13 so it's wrong atm.

Also if your not temping at the same time every morning your chart will go wacky. I also think you O'd CD15 or CD16.

Thanks! Sorry it took me so long to respond I have been super busy this week! I think I am going to just drop BBTing because it just isn't accurate for me. I actually talked to my gyno about it on Tuesday and she said I should just use CB smileys for the most accurate results.
