There is no evidence that I could find that suggests that the practice of FET results in an increased risk of abnormalities or other post-natal issues. Here is one paper that looked at FET safety and concluded FET is a safe procedure http://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/content/22/3/829.long In this article, the authors discuss and debunk some concerns based on metabolism studies in the mouse. FET of embryos has been around as long as IVF and in the early days, with slow freezing, the main concern with FET was that freezing embryos was very hit and miss, meaning that sometimes too few cells survived in the thawed embryo to produce a pregnancy. If the embryo survived the freeze/thaw protocol and produced a pregnancy, there is no evidence that I am aware of that these kids had more problems than their fresh transfer siblings. With vitrification, embryo survival is so much better, we expect equal preg rates with fresh and frozen transfers. Hope this helps, Carole
