I fear my LE diet is going to become a NA (not anything!) diet...help me, please!!!
I've read the recipes/let's stay strict/here's what we're eating threads (great job, ladies!!) and I am really growing anxious about what in the world I'm actually going to eat as I intensify my current "lose weight" diet to actually be the girl-friendly/LE diet (plus sodium). I'm due to start AF next week, after which time I'll switch from current diet to the LE --- goal is to take my BMI from 23.9 to 22.1 within that one attempt cycle (about a 10 lb loss).
I already do intermittent fasting (so don't eat before noon) and have done so for about the last 12 weeks. And I keep my calories below 1400 daily. So I will keep those parts up and I've got aspartame that I can have just for myself...also been doing that about 12 weeks, along with the total switch of supplements from boy sway (I had no idea!) to girl sway.
However, the food I do eat (and serve my family) are not LE...they are about as nutritious as possible; that's always been the filter I've used (no wonder we have 2 boys already)...mainly paleo and also "superfoods" like avocado, blueberries, spinach, broccoli, olive oil, lots of meat, full fat cheese, all grains are whole grain, no artificial sweeteners, all natural peanut butter, all natural protein shakes and bars, etc. I've concluded that I could eat cucumbers, green beans.....and now I'm stuck. What else am I going to eat?! We've never had things like white rice/bread/pasta in the house (if we have those, they're whole grain and even the protein-enhanced kind) and it would not be well-received. Maybe I could sneak in some Yoplait light yogurts that are just for me....or even cook some white rice that I just eat during the day (can I add lime juice and cilantro and pretend I'm doing faux-chipotle rice as a treat?). Rice cakes? Those I could hide in the cabinet. But no pb on them, right? I could switch spinach salads to romaine, but I think ice berg would get a big "wtf" from DH.
Help me!!! Because right now I'm thinking I will just have to err on the side of fasting and then eat the paleo dinner with the family (I control all food/cooking/serving, so at least I can magically not be serving red meat for 2 weeks), but eat smaller portions of the meat and perhaps forgo the oil....and then meet my calorie goals through vodka (I know red wine has antioxidants and beer, especially hoppy ones, would have nutrients...would champagne be sufficiently void of nutrients?).
