Cm
What makes you dry, as I have still have a lot of cm. I'm taking supplements (magnesium, calcium and vitex) and doing the low everything diet. I'm drinking peppermint tea, Perrier, evian, I tried to drink crystal light but it made me feel awful. What am I missing? I will take benadryl to dry me out when I actually do the attempt. Any help much appreciated, thanks:happy:

Hi Swish, I think it's the benadryl which will do it. I've bought Zirtek to use instead and I'm pretty sure (though check!) that on another post it says you can take both together if you need to because they work differently

I used Zyrtex for almost 4wks now and with my last O time the cm was very hard to find. I normally have tons for a very long time and not having any was so weird.
-
I experimented with benadryl and taking 1 or 2 at night seemed to really dry me up (and I slept great). I take generic claritin every morning anyway but may switch to zyrtec when ttc.

When are you guys taking the zyrtec and how often?

I have the same problem, swish - I have tons of cm too and was wondering if I was doing some of the diet wrong. Maybe I should buy some antihistamine to try out this cycle before our attempt. So is zyrtec the best? I don't even know if they sell that in Canada (where I am). Is Benadryl good too?
-
I think benadyrl is good to dry you out but makes you feel drowsy and rotten but if you take it before you go to bed it should be ok! I am going to try zyrtec thus cycle so I'll let you know how I get on!

Was researching this myself a few min ago as I'm set to O around the 1st(ish) (YAY!...The big TTC kick-off, lol). I'm going to take it on the days leading up to O, especially if I have lots of CM. I'll quit taking it after I O. Have you guys seen this thread? Probably already have put I'll include it incase anyone sees this thread and needs it:

Hi - I posted a similar query a few days earlier. I wanted to know if there was anything besides antihistamines to dry up CM as you are supposed to have creamy or none when BD'ing for a girl and I use the CM as a fairly good marker of when I'm ovulating (so I don't want to take something to dry it up beyond notice, if you know what I mean...)
I think I saw on another thread that cranberry can also help dry up CM. But it looks that the antihistamines work the best. I have zyrtec leftover from children's illnesses so have experimented with that, and yep, it does the trick. Went from lots and lots the last cycle to very little around 0-day....

I have not tried sudafed yet but my hubby took it for a few days (w/ no herbs/supps/pills) and his ph dropped a lot and his sample was very very dry. I am going to try it with my next O cycle because we are not TTC yet.
