Why can we not insert the test probe inside the vagina, after a thorough clean that is? Is it because of germs/storage and calibrating solutions could be harmfull if traces got in us or is it something else? Just curious!

I can't see why you can't, as long as it's cleaned and dried so there is no damage to it.
I don't know...I think because we suppose to test the CM sample from the cervix so we reach up and get some CM from there and test that because CM pH in the V is lower or something like that.
But your finger would get some off the vj on the way in and out anyway hey?
Yes, that is def. a risk and why I think everyone should take any pH readings (both your own and those you read from others) with a big grain of salt because you have no way of knowing.
If you have a big blob though, the stuff on the inside should be accurate in pH even if the little bit on the outside has been affected by vaginal secretions.
Just to make sure everyone knows this, I really really don't want people actually manipulating their cervix to get CM. I know this is what they tell you to do on other sites but it is possible to injure your cervix and/or cause an infection.
Whatever CM finds its way a bit further into your vajayjay is perfectly fine for testing. It will be slightly lower in pH than what is up inside, and that's ok.
Really? Gosh would never do that... and I decided not to insert the probe lol was too scared of injury!
I don't check my cervix now as I recently had my nails done and would not want to sratch my cervix or something? I guess that is how we could hurt ourselves?
