Yay congrats! Of coarse you know if it were one embryo then it has to be identical twins but if the egg splits late enough like between 9 and 12 days you can get identical twins with their own sac and placenta.
Since all Fraternal twins have their own sac and placenta and only a few identical twins it is very common for people, even medical professionals to say you are having fraternal twins if there are two placentas and sacs. It is wrong and a bit lazy IMO but is actually quite common.
I know of a few people who were told they were having fraternal twins only to find that their babies looked very alike so they had DNA tests done which concluded identical. It can be so very confusing!
That's actually not necessarily the case. It is possible that she not only conceived through IVF, but also conceived naturally in the same cycle. Thus making them fraternal twins. It's a rare occurance, but possible.Quote:

The pics are too blurry for me to make anything out. Did you do PGD (thus thinking they are boys)?
