Not sure if this is the right place - blood test for downs

Hi does anyone know the new accurate blood test for downs? It's 99% accurate - is it maternity21?

Yes. It should be accurate but GT77 on here had her results come back as a XXX female- she had to do a CVS and the MaterniT21 test was wrong. Baby is a healthy XX.

It has a good reputation(the test) but it is new and if you are just trying to find out gender, it may be worth waiting so you don't stress unnecessarily!

I heard they are most accurate for downs 21 but wrong 25% of time for 13 & 18. I also spoke to the lab and since for triple x they are right 96% of the time, they also write the words "suggestive" so they are not hold accountable. The test caused a lot of unneeded stress and if u can avoid that, I would.

I do think it's a good test tho because at the least it can possibly avoid a lot of the more invasive higher risk tests like CVS and amnio.
