Desparately Desire DD!!
Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, and even longer on IG. I have 3 living sons, 12, 10, and 7, and 1 son in heaven who died in 2004 at age 3 months. I have always wanted a daughter or 2, and so has my DH. :highfive:
After the birth of my 4th son, I had my tubes tied. I've spent the last 4 years trying to lose enough weight to get them untied (my hypothyroidism made this extremely difficult), and then just last week I discovered a local doctor who doesn't have a weight restriction to do the reversal! :hair: I am scheduled to go in to meet with him on 1/23. Hopefully, everything will go according to plan and I'll be able to get the reversal done by the end of Feb 2014!!
In the meantime, I've been planning my sway. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions!! I am mainly focused on the diet aspect as my sister has 4 DD and eats the girl diet to a T without even realizing it!! :holysheep:
Anyway, I am so excited to get to know all of you and look forward to a successful sway!!

Best of luck to you!! I will be swaying for a girl around March 2014 so hopefully we can help each other out! I have hypothyroid as well and I can relate to the weight issues. I'm hoping the low everything will help me too! I get my IUD out tomorrow and am starting the diet and daily workouts seriously tomorrow.

Awesome, queenofkings!! It's so great to "meet" someone who is in the same boat as me! :) I'm wondering if it would be better to do the diet as if we had insulin resistance? I have noticed over the years that I tend to lose more weight when I have more protein, so I'm concerned that I will actually gain weight on the diet. What about you?

Yes I do recommend that anyone who has trouble losing weight, operate under the assumption that you have IR and modify the diet accordingly. IF weight flies off, you can always readjust to include more empty carbs but till you know for sure, avoid them.
