To DTD or not to DTD tonight ?????... Please help.....need answers quick!!!.

Hi Girls,

This will be my 2nd cycle of TTC and I've just got a deffo positive on my OPK ( ones off the internet) it's really dark, I would say the same as the test line or even darker :)
I am also using the clearblue fertility monitor as well, but that just says 'high' this morning not 'peak' so not a positive on that one!!.
This happened last month when I got a positive on the internet OPK and only a high on the clearblue fertility monitor........ and we didn't DTD until a few days later as I was waiting for the monitor to give me a positive so we missed the egg :(
I think it may be faulty as it worked with my two sons and then I lent it to my friend. I have re-set it, but I think there may be something wrong with it.
Anyway, for any of you also using the monitors, would you wait until you got a peak on the monitor or go by the internet OPK??.
It's 11am here (GBT) so I am going to do another one this afternoon and see what it says.

The CBFM is just seemingly so unreliable - it's not just you - anyone trying to time it any different than just "having sex in order to get pg" has endless trouble with CBFM.

My thinking is to DTD whenever you get a positive on ANYTHING LOL. So if you get a pos first on the CBFM, attempt even if it does not agree with IC. if you get a pos on IC, then attempt even if it does not agree with CBFM.

Rule of thumb is - if all else in your sway is good, then when in doubt, attempt!!

Yes I fully agree, those CBFMs drove me crazy, I never got a + on mine EVER! Stick with the ICs, way more reliable.

I recently experienced the same situation and I got a dark opk + about 10-12 hours before my cbfm showed peak. I ovulated 72 hours later to be exact because my bbt abruptly changed to creamy at around 10pm last night, I had my bbt spyke and i took a cheapy opk last night and the line was very faint :) Good luck and sending lots of baby dust your way 😃💕
