I'm new to this whole "nub" theory. I'm just wondering, how many of you were accurate in what you thought the baby's sex was? Any advice you can throw my way?

If it is the right angle and proper gestation, we can tell.
Yeah, I think I'm just anxious. I know what we saw...and yet I know what everyone is saying...I just so badly want to announce but don't want to until we know 100 percent.....
It is called nub guessing and unless you post a video, we are only as good as the one image you post. Live action is much better.
Everyone, including 2 u/s techs who were very familiar w/ nub theory, were WRONG! My DS2's nub looked so flat and girly, I was so excited that this was my baby girl. Nope, he is 100000% boy :)<3
I would never announce based on the nub to be honoust...
However, when your are 13 weeks pregnant, the accuracy on this site is very high!
I understand your feeling! We did a nipt test and can't wait to hear the result!
I hear ya! I'm high risk but we decided about any genetic testing because he costs just seem too high. I was just curious really! We will be happy with either but are hoping for girl!
I am not a big nub guesser, but I have looked at a lot of nubs on here and other sites. I really don't trust the theory unless it is later gestation. When I went in for my scan with my son at 11w4d, I was convinced he was a girl (I desperately wanted a boy) because he had a long, flat nub. He was asleep during the scan and didn't move at ALL, even when the nurse tried to shake my belly, so I got a really long hard look at the nub, too. I didn't get any pictures, because I couldn't bear the thought of hearing girl guesses on here (plus, I really wanted a team green baby). But anyway, it was too early to judge his nub, obviously. I think the nub theory can be accurate, but it also can be wrong a lot, and people can have their hopes lifted or dashed when they really shouldn't have to be. I guess my point is, don't rely on what people think of your nub. Wait until your gender scan to make any clothing purchases!
I just looked at your pictures. They are 16 weeks and you did not include a potty shot. Those are not pictures I would guess on because I cannot see gender.
Same thing happened to me with DS3!!!!!!!!! I posted it on IG over 3 years ago and his 11w5d was 100% girly and got all girl votes and then his 12w6d nub shot got about 50/50 votes with one of the 2 techs saying girl!!!!
OP it really is just guessing. I sort of know what to look for now but like NBP said, it really all depends on the gestation and how accurate the picture is.
