I had my Mirena taken out Thursday... Yesterday I was spotting, today seems heavier, but still light by all means but lots of cramping. Should I count today as CD1? I haven't had an AF in 3 yrs so I am surprised its coming on this quick LOL

Id count today as day one, unless the spotting was pretty heavy and lasted all day yesterday.
It could also just be some spotting / bleeding due to the removal. I had mine removed just after AF had ended, but then had an additional few days of bleeding and very slight cramping. Then my cycle came back 28 days from the start of the cycle I had while the Mirena was still in and has been regular ever since.
Today is a lot more flow, so I think I will count today as CD1. Thanks for your help!
This is not really AF and if you're starting Clomid or something, it can be tricky because it's really a withdrawal bleed and not truly AF.
I would have OPK on hand and start testing shortly because you may ovulate much sooner than you think in this scenario - since it's not really AF, you may pop an egg fairly soon and you can't assume you are now going to go straight into a regular cycle here.
Hmm would it still be withdrawal bleed? I am still bleeding average today and crampy. I would normally cramp like AF was coming/here around this date every month, just never actually bleed with the Mirena in ( I did have one or two months where I would Spot). I will use OPKs to be sure. Not sure if it matters, but I did not bleed after the removal. It didn't start until 3 days after removal.
Yes, it can still be a withdrawal bleed, as your hormone levels drop, the lower levels signal your body to start bleeding and this can take a few days.
Gotchya, thanks! Good thing I have a bunch of OPKs lol
