My sons would be mortified and so embarrassed to do that! It's bad enough to get a picture of them giving me a hug lol!
I was thinking about this all day off and on, and I think the only explanation is that they've run out of stuff to shock. The media (Hollywood, fashion, etc) seemed to take a turn a few years back and kinda give up the idea of making stories true and relatable and went instead for the old shock value, but they've run out of stuff now and they forgot how to make actual entertainment in the meantime and this is all they have left!
