I need this answered today if at all possible.

I'm trying to sway pink. My husband had absained for 7 days when last thurs I got a positive OPk. We DTD once and I kept taking an OPK because I had pain in my ovaries and I was not convinced I had ovulated. I just got a positive OPK and so now I don't know what to do. Do I do compressed FR? Do I use second or 3rd batch? Any information you could provide me would be great.

Should I use sylk? I did not use it on my first attempt because I was satisfied with the amout of abstaining but now I'm not sure if I should enorporate it.

Also, my husband has not released himself since last thursday so he is on a 5 day abstain right now.

I would personally just have another attempt. The swimmers from the Thurs. attempt will all be dead and gone by now and you are starting over again with one attempt in fertile window.

Frequency is proving not to do very much at all (if anything.) One attempt is what is really getting the job done. So I would have no qualms about you having just a straight up attempt tonight, don't worry that you haven't had "enough abstain" because abstain is getting way lower results than the one attempt. 5 day abstain is fine because you'll still be having that one attempt working for you (75% success for pink regardless of frequency)

If you absolutely MUST, you can do a "hurry up FR" where you release once,dump it, then DTD again as quickly as he is able using only the second batch for insemination. Do not have him release 2 or 3 times before doing the hurry up FR, it's only ONCE before.

It's too late for compressed FR, that takes a few days.

We have seen identical results using Sylk or not using it. I'm no longer sure it does much of anything so it's your call to make on that. Will lower odds of conception to be sure and so you're in with a worse chance for something that is appearing to be totally ineffective.

By the way I have a cold right now. Would that help or hurt me in any way?

I asked the cold question a few days ago and it would seem to sway pink! I ovulated 8 days ago and my cold is still here :( i havent taken anything except tylenol since i am in the tww and just cant wait to feel better :(

frequent release - releasing every day for 7-10 days before having (preferably one) attempt

Are u better to FR or abstain? Or does neither matter? Is there a balance to be had between the two? Thanks. X

I really have a difficult time answering this because there are lots of considerations that go into it. Different things work better for different people and I simply can't give a blanket recommendation.
