Anyone thought about this? I know that varying levels of hydration can mess with your salt/electrolyte levels. I wonder if this could influence things? Dehydration adding to a declining maternal condition, maybe?

I am curious too. When I conceived my sons pretty much the only thing I ever drank was water and the occasional soda. Now ttc a daughter I am been cutting down on the water and drinking more soda and alcohol.
oh and just hydrating less over all too. Before I was practically drowning myself, haha.
That's risky stuff I don't know if I'd use that in my sway even if it does work...
People have the idea from time to time either to drink a lot or not very much. I do not want anyone messing around with this. The reason is that many people are eating lower potassium and sodium levels and if you start drinking an excess of liquids it can be very dangerous as these nutrients are prone to being flushed out.
We also have people taking antihistamines and fiber and that can be very dangerous if you don't drink enough water (bowel impaction). People might also end up with too much calcium and other minerals in their urine and with kidney stones (and this actually happened to people back on Ingender)
Everyone should drink to their level of thirst and not more or less than that. This one isn't open for debate or wiggle room, it's not safe to mess with your fluid intake when you're already messing around with lots of other stuff. Electrolytes getting out of balance causes heart failure!!!
Atomic has an essay called 'water, water everywhere' about this. Sorry I can't post a link from my phone or else I would. Anyway, messing around with your hydration levels is a silly idea. Both too much water & too little is dangerous - please don't consider doing anything like this for a sway.

Thanks Atomic and DreamofPink for weighing in on this (and everyone else, too!) I should have phrased my post better. I would NEVER want to mess with this for a sway; I was posting out of intellectual curiosity. I didn't even think until you replied how I could have inadvertently put a dangerous idea into someone else's head.
Here is the water essay: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...pink-blue.html
Having massage therapy in my schooling background water is a big thing we push as professionals. I know when I got pregnant with my boys I was well hydrated all the time. I have added soda to my diet recently and I can tell a difference in my skin. Maybe this little change will help me in my sway. :)
