Another benefit of using aspirin!
It can help in the prevention of pre-eclampsia! My first was born at 28 weeks gestation when my BP hit 210/190, and I spent weeks in the ICU myself. My second was a surprise pregnancy, so no swaying, but I did take aspirin after finding out I was pregnant and pre-e didn't repeat. That could be due to a number of factors (same father, plus there's only about a 20% chance of it repeating in general), but I think this is such an awesome benefit of a girl sway!
In addition, if anyone is interested, I found that CVS carries an aspirin that is only aspirin and starch and is totally uncoated. It's a 325 mg tablet, so I'm cutting it into quarters and taking it with food (the enteric lining or chewability of most low-dose aspirins is to prevent ulcers, so I asked the pharmacist and she said taking it with food would be fine). It's nice to know that there's no additives like artificial colors, etc. - but that could just be me being a hippie :giggle:.
