It's not part of the cord. A friend (veterinarian) mentioned that the cord is actually already in this pic and it's just above the circle. He thinks it actually is the "gender area", but he's not experienced enough to tell boy or girl. What di you guys think?

I wouldn't trust a vets opinion any more than anyone else's.

There is no way to tell what that is from a still picture.
