Ok, so not unexpectedly, we did not get pregnant our first month ttc. Honestly, I had my hopes up really high that we would, but that's ok.
For this past attempt, we did one attempt at +opk! dh took a long hot shower before, and I j&d afterwards.
For this attempt this month, dh thinks we should make more than one attempt at +opk in the same day. I think we should just drop the hot shower and the j&d.

I'm sure you'll do what sounds right to you, but I would drop the J&D and still do one attempt! Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed for you x
I'd keep one attempt as it's getting great results. Are you temping? As on, are you sure of O day? Maybe bd every 4 days (that's still one attempt I'm your fertile window) and skip the jump and dump ?
Ok thank you! That's what I was thinking. I'm not temping- I did when ttc my boys and decided it would be a "Martha" thing for me. I may try the every 4 days method though...we don't want to drag out ttc although we do want our best chance for a girl!
I've found that I get +opks quite a few days before I O and sometimes get a weird +OPK even a week before O. Although I have some thyroid issues that affect Lh and other hormones. so a temp shift is the only way I know I O'ed for sure. I totally understand not temping as to not obsess and get all martha but opks are not always 100% so bd every 4 days may help.
Honestly you should be GLAD you got a BFN this month-- it means whatever you're doing is lowering fertility a lot and that sways girl ! Please please don't do more than one attempt! That is the one thing I would go back and change about my failed sway. One attempt is getting great results so stick with it!!
Ok great, we'll stick with one attempt! Since I'm not temping, and don't know exactly when I'll get the +opk should we bd on that day and then 4 days later just to insure we have an attempt around o?
I just thought that if your husband wanted to do more attempts you could "appease" him with the once every 4 days and still be getting in one attempt, plus not worry about temping.
Ok. He is just worried that we won't conceive with only one attempt.
It is pefectly possible to conceive with one attempt and should be the LAST sway tactic you drop. I am convinced multiple BD attempts within the fertile period (even, if not especially, 2 attempts close together on the same day) are why most past sways failures occurred. It shouldn't be too easy to conceive, either- that's the point!
Ok thank you! My boys were conceived with multiple attempts so it makes sense to me why one attempt would sway.
