Wich Supplements ?
Hi ladies ! We just got our BFP on Monday , due around January 25,2015 .
Before I was pregnant I was on :
Prenatal - included 800 mcg folic acid
folic acid- 800 mcg x2
D3 -1,000 IUd
Non-mercury fish oil- 1,000 mg
Cassava root - 800 mg I think
Are these still safe to take during pregnancy ?
My cassava root supplement ran out, I probably won't take that ..one less thing to pay for.
With my fish oil it is 1,200 mg but I drained a little bit of one of the caps to make it closer to 1,000 mg. I noticed that it only contains 240 DHA when taken in the full dose. Is it safe to take the full dose at this point ? I plan on at least using the bottle up.
Are there any other supplements that I should consider ? THere is 30 mg of iron in my prenatals.
I don't drink much dairy, I had been taking a calcium supplement but stopped when we were swaying boy - but I did indulge in organic full fat dairy milk during that time. I also have ...crazy teeth ..wich was another good reason to take a calcium supplement.
Any thoughts appreciated !

continue prenatal and Vit D thru pregnancy. folic continue till end of first tri then wean off
I would gradually exchange fish oil for pregnancy DHA supp, shoudl take about 3 weeks
no cassava
I think full fat dairy is great, def. continue

i always just took pregaday and carried on my folic all the way through, thinking about it they weighed from 11 pounds the biggest to 8 pounds the smallest, so mayb i shld have stopped the folic lol ooo and i had two tins of sardnies or tuna a week uckkkkkk x

everyone needs to stop folic (wean off) after first trimester, because continuing folic at higher than prenatal level into third trimester was linked to asthma.

what about the pregaday tablets though that you take right the way through they also contain folic acid? x
