Feelings about baby
I know this may sound a bit funny, but hubby is insisting that baby is a girl. He told me he had a feeling that this baby is a girl. With both our boys he told me they were both boys. He even suggested we by an outfit that I love yesterday. It's pink and very girly :-) It was only $10 but he said it was worth the gamble. I really hope he's right again.
I just wonder if this feeling is because this is our first planned baby and we both really wanted a girl... I'm just trying not to get too excited for the next several months

I think k intuition is very strong and often correct! No harm in buying an outft in my opinion. I hope your husband is right!

awww, your hubby sounds sweet! I hope your bundle of joy gets lots of wear out of the outfit you bought :)

I do not believe feelings predict gender in any reliable way and I would proceed with great caution because putting stock into premonitions has been heartbreaking for quite a few people. :) Hope he's right tho.

I've read that women's intuition about gender is correct like 70 some percent. Not sure about anyone else such as Dh though.

It doesn't matter, no one should put any stock into their feelings and premonitions because GD messes with your head and people set themselves up for heartbreak. I don't care if it's shown in "studies" to be 99% effective, you don't want to be in that 1% TRUST ME.
(I hope it is obvious I made those numbers up.)

I'm with atomic as last time my husband was saying he thought it was a girl and he has guessed sooo many peoples babies genders in the past so although I saw a boyish nub I started believing it! But I think he wanted it for me too so that had influence! Plus who knows if all the others were just coincidence although he has had some freaky premonitions!!!
This time I got him to write down in a secret place what he thinks this baby is as he isn't prepared to tell me this time, a little frightened perhaps?! Lol

I agree, I thought all 3 of my boys were girls...was even told my 3rd was a girl until my 4d ultrasound. I hope you get your little girl!

I really really hope that your DH is right. However, I would have bet a million dollars that DS2 was a girl. My intuition was never as strong as it was with him, and yet it was wrong. Again, I really felt like DS3 was a girl, until right before the ultrasound, where I began to think boy. I did not have any feelings with DD1, however she was the only baby that I bought a dress for before I knew gender. With DD2, I was CONVINCED that she was a boy. I said it to anyone that would listen. We went for a private scan at 17 weeks and the lady said "I think I can see what it is..." and I said "A BOY!!!" and she said no...
So my intuition is broken. Obviously.

I'm not putting stock in it. If baby is a boy we will still be thrilled. The outfit was $10 for a set of 4 so hubby wasn't stressing to "gamble" on gender. It's also his way of showing me support and excitement. He's a difficult cookie to read sometimes. I just thought it was cute that he's so certain it's a girl. I will be very interested to see if he is right or not.
I guess I should have worded my original post better. I'm excited either way. This is just a very different pregnancy for me since this one is planned and we swayed.
