Need Some Tips please For My GIRL Sway For This Month..

So last month we did a 2.5 day cut off but obviously i am not preg.... Last month dh released everyday for 12 days and day of attempt he released in the morning and we then dtd that night... I didnt realise i was doing the wrong thing at the time but every 4 hrs or so i was using a finger tip of acijel to keep ph down , I did this for 3 days plus took sudafed. For this months attempt i was thinking of going with a 2 day cut off plus trying for a o+12... Should i use acijel to keep my ph down and when should i use it??? Also i forgot to add that 5 mins before dtd last month i used a finger of acijel AND 5 min after attempt i used some more to lower dh and mine together... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

seeing as you're stressing about using acijel I'd suggest using rephresh instead - you use one dose of that and it keeps the pH steady (at 4.5) for 3 days

just remember that even if you DTD on OV day at your peak fertility you only have a 33% chance of getting a pregnancy from it, so you could do the same thing for a few cycles and be unsuccessful, and is about 20-25% of conceiving each cycle if you DTD in the 2-3 days before that

Ok thanks for your help I will try the rephresh first and see how i go with my ph. Do you think it would be ok for me to dtd day of ovulation too for a sucessful girl sway? I am doing diet supps ions and dh is releasing everyday

the studies I've seen suggest that conceiving on OV day doesn't sway either way...

personally I'll go for a 1-day cut off just to give the RepHresh more time to lower the pH of the semen before that egg pops out. So thinking of DTD on the day of the first peak but not the second.

the diet and supps will definitely sway more than timing will, so sounds positive to me!

Thanks alot for that... I was actually thinking of dtd when i get my first positive opk! My poor dh will be releasing for 16 days straight this time as i dont ovulate until day 17, Would you suggest maybe get him to release first batch and then use second?? Just to get a lower count enough.

wow your DH has stamina lol! yeah that could work, although I don't know if it would be really needed or not with him releasing every day like that.

HA HA he sure is...... there is no trust there for him to abstain!! if my ph was to go up to a 5 or a 5.5 when o happens what is best to do then?

Yes, that was def. too much on the Acijel front. Esp. with the 5 mint before and 5 min after. Don't beat yourself up though, the idea of pH having to be constantly monitored and adjusted has become part of the swaying lore and it's hard to unplug from that.

I personally like RepHresh plus antihistamine, the RepHresh for all the reasons Rainbow mentioned :agree: and then antihistamine in place of Sudafed because it does the same thing (drying up CM) more safely.

If you do choose to carry on with the Acijel I would use it more like an hour beforehand and then nothing afterwards, except possibly a jump and dump...getting rid of the majority of semen will help the Acijel to work faster.
