Yes, it is. They all look more or less the same at that time.
A flat nub could rise.
My son's nub of 11+4, however, was slightly pointing upwards by that time, but could be easily regarded as a girly one.
Accuracy at 12 weeks is 80%, at 13 weeks over 90%.
Yup, too early.
Thank you....any chance you could look at below pic and give me ur view....thanks in advance 11 and 4 here x
Yes. No one should guess on a nub at 11 4, there is just no visible difference between boys and girls
Ok thanks....I can stop thinking! Driving myself mad... it's one or the other at this point....been told nub is girly by lots x
Whoever told you that nub is girly does not understand how babies develop. ALL babies at 11 weeks gestation look like girls. The testicles have not begun making testosterone yet and so both boy bits and girl bits look exactly alike. Once the testosterone starts flowing then and only then, does the "clitoris" (because all babies have a clitoris at this age) start to turn into a penis in boys. This process is not complete until 13 weeks and while you can sometimes tell in the 12th week, the 11th week is too soon and you CANNOT guess gender from nub at that point. I would hate for you to get your hopes up in a certain direction on the basis of bad, biologially impossible information.
Hello Thanks. ....went for a private nt scan and Dr Penman said looks pink......sounds awful to say I thought baby was a boy...thanks for replying......I was 12 and 3 when he said girly. ...x (was hoping for boy)
This is 12 and 3 pic...looking girly x:
I would not lose hope just yet, I still think 12 w 3 days is too early. I do not guess gender at that gestation and have seen even nubs at 13 weeks look girly only to be a boy. Good luck nd blue dust headed your way.
