Hiya girlies. Im hoping to conceive a boy. I'm a little confused and need advice! I hoping to track ovulation using opks. So when I get a positive I will bd that day and two days after?
Secondly, during af and up to ovulation we will not bd. Is this too long to go without ejaculation? (Sorry tmi)
Will it affect sperm count?
How long before ovulation should a man not ejaculate in order to have a good high sperm count?

I think a man needs to ejaculate every 2-4 days for best odds of blue. I would NOT have him go that long without releasing!
When you get a pos OPK I would have you DTD that night, the next morning if at all possible,a nd then again the following night.

Yes, if he can! :) I like people to have 3-5 attempts in the fertile window whenever possible, and since many people choose not to have attempts O-2 or O-3 to try and avoid SHettles timing (even though that has been debunked, some people still like to go for that) the best way to do that is to have the three attempts, one night of pos OPK, one the next morning, then another the next afternoon or night. :) But if DH isn't "up for it" so to speak that is fine, just do the nighttime attempts.
Just to put it together. BDing once right after AF (finishing inside) to increase T is what you recommend, right Atomic? Then after up until OPK + days every 2-4 days with condom? Then above pattern?
Is BDing right after AF "safe"? Or a deal breaker? Nervous!

Yes! In addition to raising his T levels and sperm numbers, the hormones in the semen may help make you more blue friendly. So I honestly don't recommend the condom in months you are not actively TTC.Quote:
