I think so, I have one in my bedroom.

How should they work?

Personally I don't think they do anything (for swaying), but if you need a lamp and it's pretty, why not?? :)

I don't think they do much, but I do have TWO! :)

I already had one before I started my sway and then I bought a second one after learning it was used for swaying purposes. I just think they're really pretty.
