O on cd 8...what the heck!?!

I have never Oed before cd 13. This is my first month off BCP's and don't usually start using OPK's until cd 10. Yesterday I had cramping and a tiny bit of spotting, then this morning a huge temp rise. I took an opk this morning and it was positive.

Was I just catching the tail end of my LH surge? or have I not really O'ed? and why so early, this has never happened...

I am so upset...I have only been on diet and supps for 1-2 weeks. I was having DH frequently release and we only BD'd on cd 5 but it was all wrong for trying to get a girl :( I am posting my chart let me know what you think...

Hmmm...it does look like you O'd on CD8. I'm having a screwy cycle as well- not coming off BCP's but I am nursing my 13mos old which really screws it up. So you have a 3 day cut-off....Let's hope that if any swimmers get in there, that they're PINK!!! I'll be thinkin' about you Mama and chart stalking! LOL

I'm sorry it didn't work out as planned - but it's not all bad; a 3 day cut-off, first month off birth control, a wonky cycle month - they may all help you get your girl!

Coming off BCP can do crazy things unfortunately. It's more common to O late but obviously you can O early as well.

Looking at your chart, you have subsequently had some lower temps, so the high temp may have just been a weird one...any update on symptoms???

Well, FF took away my crosshairs...I am totally confused! I had all the signs of O but maybe I didn't release an egg? Blah, first month TTC and I already hate it :)

If you need to, don't forget you can always have your DH release once and dump it and then DTD again and use the second batch - that will lower sperm count even if you weren't able to abstain or frequent in the pattern that you want to because of a weird ovulation pattern.
