11 week nub. Tech had a guess...

So, I've had a private 11 week scan today. The tech said it was too early to say but she had a fair guess as the nub was "so clear"

Can I ask for opinions on the nub?

11 weeks really is too early for guessing. They both look the same. It still has plenty of time to rise for a boy.

Sorry, now I see it! Yes, girly flat forked nub! I was looking at the cord at first.

Girl - Too early to tell but if this was 12+ weeks I'd say girl x

The tech was insistent it is a girl.

I said "isn't it too early to tell? The nub wouldn't have tipped up yet for a boy would it?"

She said that was true, but when you've been doing it as long as she has you learn to know what you are seeing, even when it's early. The other woman in the room said "she's never wrong"

I'm not convinced...

Please do not put anything into an 11 week guess. There was just a lady on here who got all girl guesses on her 11 week nub and is now devastated that the baby is not a girl like all the nub guesses implied. 11 weeks is just too early and no one should be guessing on it. Yes it could be a girl, but testosterone is just starting to develop in little boys and the nub could still rise.

at this point it is girly. she has a 50/50 of being right but put no stock into an ultrasound at this gestation as they will look the same.

Agree with above, I wouldn't even bother looking at an 11 week nub, it's completely 50/50
