Ok Ladies I Am New! Does This Sway Seem Ok or Should I Add Anything??

My husband and I have four sweet boys at home and would love to add a little pink bundle. We have been doing the diet and supplements since the middle of February so roughly 7ish weeks now but more strict for the past 4 weeks. We have cut out all red meat, potatoes, bananas and caffeine. We drink the Great Value brand of Crystal Light from Wal-Mart and the occasional diet caffeine free Dr. Pepper if we are craving a soda (we were big soda drinkers before this!) We have increased pasta and the rest of our nightly meals come from chicken. Hard to cut out all meat from our meals as that is what my boys are used to eating so that's why we are just using chicken. We have both increased our milk intake, it is whole milk though so I'm not sure if that is too fatty? My husband has also been eating the heck out of chocolate ice cream, he loves it lol I eat some occasionally at night if I'm still hungry since it's at least extra calcium. I have skipped breakfast every morning and am doing my best not to snack much, can't say I haven't at all because I was used to snacking a lot. I have lost 4 pounds this week, and hope to continue to lose right up until "O".*

I am taking calcium, magnesium, cranberry, folic acid and saw palmetto all at the recommended dosages. Hubby is taking calcium, magnesium, cranberry and licorice root also all at the recommended dosages. I am a little worried about the licorice root as we had physicals done at our doctor the beginning of February and all his blood labs were good except it came back that he had low testosterone. Which I know is great for conceiving a girl, but I'm hoping the licorice root doesn't make it too low.*

Since my husband is 45 we are doing the FR method. We will have done it for roughly 10 days up until our O+12 attempt. I have bought the Clearblue digital ovulation tests to help pinpoint ovulation. As I am normally a regular on the dot 28 day cycle individual, I plan to do our attempt roughly 36 hours after the first positive OPK as long as CM matches the shift. We will both take Sudafed and extra cranberry an hour before our attempt, along with a hot bath and my douching with a lime douche as well. I will check my ph afterwards to see if I need to add any additional lime after our attempt. I will also not be having the "big o" as I am positive I did with all my boys.

The only problem I've encountered is when I check the ph of his semen after his release it's showing to still be at an 8 even after the diet and supplements and he's drinking a ton of Great Value flavored water. Is this good enough or what should we do? The color on my ph paper does not change so I'm assuming that's because I'm at a 4 like the colors indicate on the color chart. I only have the ones that go from 1-14 and not the ones that have half increments as well.

Ok ladies how does this sound?? This is my last chance at a girl and I want to make sure I know in my heart that I did all I could.

I'm sure Atomic will chime in! I would not drink Full fat milk this sways blue. I would maybe consider going vegetarian, since we have seen great results with this. If you must eat meat, I would eat no more than 2-4oz and maybe only once a day. This could put you over for total protein. I would aim for 40g protein and 30-60g fat. As long as you don't have PCOS tendencies, a bit of ice cream should be fine. Great job with no snacking and the weight loss!!

I would drop the calcium, magnesium and cranberry. These are extra nutrients and sway blue. Not sure about Saw palmetto. If you are ovulating on your own with regular cycles, I would be hesitant to take this. If DH has been diagnosed with low T, I would be hesitant to have him take LR- that sounds like it would make it worse given his age.

FR- not for a DH at 45! I think BDing every 4 days would be best to get good swimmers and still give you one attempt in your fertile window. O + 12 = no conception, this is too hard to time and isn't worth the stress. I would BD every 4 days for a few cycles then maybe have another attempt at positive opk if you don't conceive after a few cycles.

I wouldn't bother checking his pH or yours as this doesn't do much. You need to have the right pH so sperm can live to get to the egg. Don't check, not worth it.

You can drink crystal light in sane amounts- no more than 12-16oz a day. I would stop drinking it if you get headaches. I was fine until after a few months, then I had to quit drinking it.
