I'm developing a horrible left upper back knot that is very persistent. Could this be linked to low potassium levels? Is this anyone else's experience?

How close to your neck is it? I always get a persistent knot in my neck when my Magnesium levels are low. Usually low potassium levels cause charley horses in the feet or calves.
Hope you find some relief soon! I know how badly it sucks!

It's actually right under my shoulder blade. So uncomfortable!! May need a spa day!
I'm extremely prone to muscle knots in my upper back/neshoukder/neck region and they've never been affected by Mg or K levels IME, but it's not impossible. As XX said, low K will cause calf cramps usually,; those I often experience when my K is low. Mg however never seems to help anything at any dose. I recommend a chiropractor and massage (a deep tissue one, or myofascial release).
K=potassium
Mg=magnesium
No way to know without blood work - my advice is, drink a coconut water and/or have a yogurt and see if it helps.
