I'm in the US and I found a brand (cascadian farms) that does not fortify their cereal. Is that a good way to add cals without too much fat and protein?
That's what I've done. A huge bowl of cereal, with sugar (because the kind I get is just puffed rice) and rice milk.
We THINK that is ok, but keep in mind that we never really knew why cereal seemed to sway blue, only that it was shown in a study. So while I think it's fine, some may want to avoid it and such.
It is a great snack though.
That's what I did, I say go for it! Just avoid any cereal that contains oats as those sway strongly blue. Man I miss CF cereals so much! The cereal aisle here is miniscule with NONE of my favourites.
